Sharan Pasricha

Sharan Pasricha is the Founder and President of Ennismore, a global hospitality collective that has become one of the fastest-growing lifestyle and leisure companies in the world. Based in London, Pasricha has earned a reputation as a “hospitality impresario” for his ability to transform underperforming properties into vibrant, culturally relevant community hubs. Under his leadership, Ennismore has expanded from a single East London hotel into a multi-billion euro powerhouse, managing a diverse portfolio that includes iconic names like The Hoxton, Gleneagles, and Mondrian.

Early Career

Born in India in 1980, Sharan Pasricha demonstrated an entrepreneurial spirit from a young age by famously selling his mother’s sandwiches to schoolmates at a profit. He moved to England for his education, attending the prestigious Doon School in India and Millfield School in Somerset. He earned a degree in Accounting & Finance from Regent’s College before founding his first major venture, RUSH! Media, a London-based marketing agency.

After selling his media startup, Pasricha returned to India to take over his uncle’s leather manufacturing business. He spent three years streamlining operations and scaling the factory’s international reach. He eventually returned to London to obtain his MBA from London Business School, where he was later awarded the Alumni GOLD (Graduate of the Last Decade). His foray into hospitality began in 2011 when he founded Ennismore, driven by a desire to combine his passions for real estate, design, and storytelling.

Business

Ennismore Logo The ascent of Ennismore began in 2012 with the acquisition of the original Hoxton Hotel in Shoreditch. Sharan recognized the potential of lifestyle hotels long before they became a mainstream category. He reimagined the Hoxton as an “open-house” hotel, where the lobby functioned as a neighborhood living room rather than a transient transit point. This model was so successful that it allowed Ennismore to scale the brand globally, opening outposts in Paris, Amsterdam, New York, and Chicago.

In 2015, Pasricha led one of the most high-profile acquisitions in the UK hospitality sector: the historic Gleneagles resort in Scotland. Over several years, he oversaw a multi-million-pound refurbishment that restored the glorious playground to its former 1920s glamour, resulting in record revenues and the launch of the Gleneagles Townhouse in Edinburgh.

A pivotal moment in Pasricha’s business career occurred in 2021, when Ennismore entered a landmark joint venture with the French hospitality giant Accor. According to Ennismore’s official corporate records, this merger created a new autonomous entity co-led by Pasricha, bringing together 14 world-class brands, including SLS, Mama Shelter, Delano, and 25hours. By 2022, the company was valued at over €2 billion following an investment from a Qatari consortium.

Innovation and Purpose

Sharan Pasricha is widely recognized for his attention to detail, maintaining four in-house creative studios that oversee everything from interior design to digital innovation. In 2023, he launched Dis-loyalty, an innovative subscription-based travel and food membership program that challenges traditional loyalty models. His work has earned him an MBE in the Queen’s 2022 Birthday Honours for services to the hotel industry, and he was recently named “Best Host” in the Wallpaper Design Awards 2026. Beyond his role at Ennismore, Pasricha remains the owner of the Estelle brand, which includes the exclusive Maison Estelle in Mayfair and Estelle Manor in Oxfordshire, projects he describes as the fullest expression of his “hosted home” philosophy.
